About

Hand-painted with a motif inspired by traditional 20th-century Ukrainian ornaments from the Chernihiv and Cherkasy regions. In GUNIA’s contemporary take, the animal motif becomes a totem of friendship, finished with gold details. Because each plate is handmade, no two are exactly alike. It works for festive occasions, for everyday use or as a collectible gift.

Designer

Gunia

A brand of exceptional things produced based on traditional ethnic cultures.

Founded in 2017 in Kyiv by the creative duo Nataliia Kamenska and Maria Gavryliuk, today Gunia Project is not only about beautiful objects with a story, but rather a mission to preserve Ukrainian national values and show the world the beauty of Ukraine.

The brand integrates recognizable elements of traditional culture into modern design objects and seeks new forms of Ukrainian style. The brand is inspired but does not repeat the examples of folk art. The founders are researching crafts to find their application in the modern world of technology.

All goods are crafted with care and passion in the brand’s manufactory or other artisanal ateliers in Ukraine.
